English summary on page 14 as follows: About 10,000 years ago, inhabitants of the Hoa Binh culture and of the Bac Son culture occupied the Northeast coastal plain of Vietnam. the rise of sea level in the mid-holocene seperated these islands from the continent and pushed fast forward the process of convergence of the Hoabinhian and Basonian, creating the Late Neolithic culture, characterized by fishing village of Cai Beo. If Cai Beo had been the first step of marine culture of the Northeast area, the closely related to not only the prehistoric inhabitants in inland of the North Vietnam, burt also the people that travelled on sea in East and Southeast Asia.
