Abstract: English summary on page 20 as follows: Bung Bac, at Phuoc Huu hamlet, Long Phuoc cillage, Chau Thanh district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, was discovered in 1984 and first excavated in the early 1986. In 1994, Bung Bac was largely ecxavated with 5 pits in the area of about 405m in total. It consists of two cultural layers with abundant artifacts such as materials of stone, bronze, wood, pottery, matrix... with outstanding characteristics which ae colour pottery, great quantity, mould and performs of ornamental rings. It is possible to imagine Bung Bac as an "ancient coastal village", "a primary ancient port" dating from 2,700 to 240 BC. The authors have classified nearly 200 sites into 5 cultural periods and 5 cultural regions in the complex of the Dong Nai Culture.
