Abstract: The Jomo Age began about 12,000 BP and ended about 2,300 B.C. The Jomo Age developed through 6 stages, the Early stage was marked with the appearance of pottery and stone arrow-points, the successive stages were marked with the variation of ceramics as well as the process of settlements into villages with tendency to be nearer to the sea. The primitive agriculture - the semi - agriculture were introduced into Japan through the main way of living of Jomo people was basically gathering, hunting and fishing. In the Jomo Age, there used to be a regional cultural difference. The West influenced by Eastern Asian laurisylvan (glossy - leafed) wood zone in the south of the Yangtze River
The East accepted the cultural factors of Nava forest zone in the Northeast of China, in the basin of the Amor River and in Baikan area. The integration of endogenous and exogenous factors created the outstanding Jomo Culture on the Japanese archipelago.
