Abstract: Ban Non Wat is a large, moated prehistoric settlement located in the upper Mun Valley of Northeast Thailand. A summary of the first three excavation seasons appeared in the proceedings of the 10th International Conference of the European Association of Southeast Asian Archaeologists (Higham, Thosarat 2006). This paper adds to our knowledge of this site obtained during two further seasons of excavations. No definitive statements can be made before the excavations are completed and the material analysed. However, progress described below has been made in terms of refining the cultural sequence, dating further radiocarbon samples, adding to the number of burials uncovered and their social implications, and identifying the early Iron Age cemetery.
