Abstract: Sporadic finds of eleven cist graves have been recorded in the past in peninsular Malaysia in south Perak and north-east Selangor. The graves, constructed of large slabs of granite, have been ascribed to the Iron Age period of Peninsular Malaysia. Recent archaeological reconnaissance work in the Bernam Valley in September 1992 has found more of such graves. A total of six graves, K 1 to K 6, were excavated between 1992 and 1994. This paper discusses the recent findings from the four phases of excavation work at Changkat Menteri and Ulu Bernam.
