Abstract: The work carried out so far in the ancient city of Wat Phu stands as a preliminary investigation aimed at assessing whether acceptable solutions could be obtained for the problem posed at the outset, i.e. the application of geomagnetic prospecting to inventory areas characterised by brick structures (and thus monumental structures), also assessing their consistency. In view of the results described, we believe acceptable solutions can be found to the problem. In fact, on ascertaining the extent of the anomalies shown in the graphs and the magnetic susceptibility values of the building material, we can correlate the magnetic anomalies with specific situations presented by the models.
