Abstract: Architectural ceramics were a crucial component of Khmer architecture from the earliest times. This paper focuses on the potential of such ceramics, particularly decorated roof tiles, to provide information about Khmer architecture and political expansion. Architectural ceramics recovered from a recent excavation at Prasat Hin Phimai, Northeast Thailand, are discussed in this context.
