Abstract: English summary on page 24 as follows: The author suggests about spinning wheels found in prehistoric or protohistoric sites of our country: 1. Spinning and textile craft was found in Vietnam probable since the Neolithic, to be sure from the Phung nguyen culture. 2. Till Dong Son period, this craft tended to be more specialized. 3. Unlike western scholars who hold that this industry came into existence quite late in Southeast Asia due to its tropical heat, the author thinks it is because of such climate that Southeast Asians did not use hide as dresses, and had to invent cloth much earlier. 4.
