Abstract: English summary on page 82 as follows: Trang Kenh was an workshop for manufacturing nephrite ornament of Early Bronze Age at Hai Phong seasite (Minh Duc Hamlet, Thuy Nguyen District). The workshop was discovered in 1968, excavated twice in1969 and 1986 on an area of 265 sq.m. The cultural layer is 1.80 m - 2.10m deep, with a lot of stone artifacts, pottery, mollusc shells and animal teeth andbones.Especially remarkable are abundant stone artifacts such as axes, chisels, drilling - points, saws, grinding stone and various types pf bracelets, rings and beads. They were main products of the workshop for exchange with the inhabitants of Phung Nguyen, Dong Dau cultures in the inland area. Trang Kenh has close relations with the Bai Tu workshop (Ha Bac Prov.). the followings are the C14 dates of the lower layer of Trang Kenh site. 1969: at depth 1.90m (Trench 1A) 3405 ± 100 BP. at depth 1.60m (Trench 1B) 3005 ± 90 BP. 1986: at depth 1.60m (Trench 1) 3260 ± 150 BP. at depth 1.60m (Trench 1) 3280 ± 55 BP. 3340 ± 70 BP.
