Abstract:	This publication is a compilation of papers presented at the panel discussion of the same title at the 21st Congress of the Indo-Pacific Prehistoric Association at the Huong Giang Hotel in Hue, Vietnam on September 24, 2018. It is inspired by the Editors’ advocacy of instilling archaeological awareness and heritage literacy to communities in which archaeological sites are situated.
