Abstract: The chronological sequence of the site is based on radiocarbon dating evidence and inscribed seals. 31 samples of charcoal, wood and other organic materials found in pottery have been dated using conventional 14C techniques
17 additional samples have been processed using Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS). 15 date ranges safely place the main occupation of the site from the very end of the 5th into the 2nd century BC. Based on palaeographic grounds, most seals can be assigned to a period between the 2nd century BC and the 1st century AD suggesting that the site may have been sparsely inhabited in the early centuries AD, but this later occupation was probably less active.
