The Preface Project is not without flaws. For those, the author offers her humble apologies, and fervent hope that the imperfections of the isolated parts yet not tarnish too completely the virtue of the whole.
In future editions, the author might wish that the following were amended:
- XML record errors. Unfortunately, it seems that Omeka will attempt to parse in a web browser any XML record it encounters. A violent error message and brutish, hackneyed mess of an xml code will appear if the reader should attempt to click on any of the XML records appended to the items of this archive. Short of Omeka bulk editing capability, much time, and many hands, the author has chosen not to replace all of the XML files (around 250, in number). Instead, she has created new items out of the XML records for each book represented in the archive, and has made them accessible through their own exhibit page, "All XML Records." They are also accessible through the book exhibition pages.
- Other: Inconsistent capitalization and spacing in tagging; inconsistent usage of Roman numeral versus Arabic number pagination; and, likely, many more inconsistencies, mistakes, and bugs yet to be discovered.
If the reader locates other errata, they are sincerely welcome to submit a message to email@example.com, with the error in question explained.
